So I recently came across a first edition of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and I’m wondering how much money it might be worth.
It’s paperback, American-released, and in nearly perfect condition. The cover isn’t the usual one, can’t find a picture of it, but it’s blue. It’s first printing, first edition.
Im pretty neutral about harry potter. I used to read the books in 6th grade. I need to make up an article about why harry potter is bad literature and cant be compared to some much better, but less known, literature
I am a self-confessed Harry Potter fan, from Vernon Dursley’s rampant anti-wizard obsessions down to Hagrid’s idea of ‘cute pets’.. What do you like best in the 7 years of Harry’s adventure, and what are the flaws that you’ve seen? More importantly, what are your unanswered queries about Harry Potter and everything else in the novel..?
Make me think. All your answers will be much appreciated.
I love the Harry Potter series. I have seen all the Harry Potter movies, and read 6/7 of the books, and I thought it might be cool to be able to act in one of the next upcoming movies. I do have previous acting experience (if you count five years working in a haunted house in Denver, and doing a small short film directed by my friend lol), and if anyone could tell me how that would be great. It doesn’t matter if I was not a major role, or even an extra. I think it would just be a fun experience being on set and in that atmosphere. If anyone could tell me how I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.
How’s this for an original question about Harry Potter? I was just wondering this because in the future, schools may be assigning students to read the Harry Potter books, it’s probably unlikely, as many of us will be passing it down to our children anyways, but what do you think is the underlying theme of the Harry Potter books?
I liked all of your answers (except for Vote Darklight ‘O8)! I gave all of you a thumbs up!
I’ve been reading the Harry Potter books and they’re really easy to get through because you don’t want to put them down and they’re intriguing. But now that I’m finished, I’d like to start another series of something. Does anyone have any ideas? I am into lots of different subjects, so the genre doesn’t really matter, but if anyone had ideas to do with anything fantasy or medieval, etc, that’d be great.
My nephew is really into Harry Potter. It seems as though he owns just about everything made that has anything to do with Harry Potter. I would like to find something original that he may not have yet. I don’t have a list or anything of what he does have, but any suggestions could help. Thanks!
SPOILERS!
In the harry potter series, some of my favorite characters die.
These Include: Sirius Black, Albus Dumbledore, Hedwig, Dobby, Fred Weasley, Remus Lupin, Colin Creevey, and Severus Snape
I cried so much and had nightmares after reading.
I am acting like Homer Simpson when Greystash dies.
I just realized that I own a copy of the original first Harry Potter book (entitled Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone). After only 500 copies were released in London, the title was changed to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. So basically, therer are only 500 copies in existance and I possess one of them.I read in a magazine that I copy was just auctioned off for 18,000$!!!! So my question is, how much could I likely get and do u know any good auction sites or info pages on this novel. Thanx!
